Our Legacy
Combs Concrete Construction Company was founded in 1968 by Ray Combs, after serving his civil duties in the U.S. Army. He built the company in the greater Dayton/Miamisburg Ohio area, specializing in poured concrete basements, stem walls, footing and flatwork. Due to extreme weather and economic conditions in the late 1970s, Combs Concrete Construction relocated south and settled in Charlotte, NC. In the mid 1980s with one pickup truck, one backhoe, and now a 2nd generation helping to pursue the dream of rebuilding the company with integrity, honesty, and quality at its highest!
Combs Concrete Construction has two main objectives:
- Build a strong, caring company, resulting in a mutual respect and appreciation for its employees and their families.
- Provide quality products and personalized service for our customers.
Combs Concrete Construction has grown to more than 200 outstanding employees. We service the residential and commercial industry, providing footings, poured foundation walls, flatwork, decorative and pervious concrete, grading and hauling, to some of the largest homebuilders and commercial contractors in the Carolinas, while providing quality work and guaranteed services. The result of dedicated employees and two generations of Combs family has made the dream come true.
